Headache Treatment - get pain relief

What kind of headache do you have?
Start by assessing your headache. Is it a tension headache, due to stress? If so, get yourself out of the stressful environment. Go for a walk, or take a nap.
Green tea can help. Green tea is good for you, but not many people are aware of how great it is for headache treatment. Green tea has many antioxidants in it, which help to distress you and as well as relieve any pain and swelling in your head.
The best way to take the green tea if you are looking to get rid of headaches is to boil it and drink it hot, as the steam of the hot drink is also going to help you to relax.
You can also lie down with cool cloth: take a facecloth and run cool water over it, and then place it on your forehead. Just make sure that you cool the cloth down again every time it starts to become warm.
Do you have a migraine?
If you’re a migraine sufferer, you know it, and you’ll have a short window of opportunity before the full force of the headache hits. Now is the time to take your migraine medication, and retire to a quiet room. Often, if you take action immediately - rest - you can avoid the full force of the headache.
Do you have a sinus headache?
Sinus headaches are painful. Try running hot water over a cloth, wring it out, and then place the cloth over your face. Breathe through the cloth - this will often help to release clogged sinuses. Acupuncture also helps. Next time you have a treatment, ask to be shown an acupressure (fingertip acupuncture) treatment you can use at home between visits.
