Neck pain is very common as you work at the computer. If you spend long hours staring at the computer screen, you almost certainly suffer from neck pain as well as headaches and digestive upsets.

This is because your poor posture is compressing the muscles and nerves and cutting off blood supply to organs. You’ll find that your neck pain usually comes on after lunch.

What’s the solution?

The solution can be simple. You need to work on both your posture, and you need to relax more. Sit back in your chair, and close your eyes for a moment. Closing your eyes lets you relax, and it’s vital to close your eyes and sit back and relax at least once every half hour as you work at the computer.

Once an hour, you should also get up and walk around. Do a few simple stretches. Using your chair as a balance, twist your head and neck and torso, and stretch to ease out the kinks.

If you find that you’re frequently getting neck pain and headaches, you may want to take some yoga exercises. Yoga helps you to become aware of how you’re using your body, and is a great help for neck pain relief.
